Hey folks, as you’ll see in the video below I’ve made a lot of progress from the previous post I posted on my Unreal project. The graphics are improved and I was able to add some motions and character movements. You’ll see as I press 1 on the keyboard my character in this case I call her Tanya I’m able to make her start doing an air dance. And the camera isn’t exactly where I want it to be but I can fix that later. This is only a test to see how to use the engine and add in all the animations from Iclone 7/IClone Character Creator. There’s a few errors I made but I have gotten the concept of how this program works. Unreal Engine makes the projects very easy the hardest part is setting the blueprints and setting the animations in right. It also helps because they provide a debug log as well, but having animation blueprints help alot in the sense you don’t have to code anything really. The graphics can be improved as well. Hey everybody, I’m happy to say I’ve finally figured out a lot of the Unreal Engine 4 and am starting to understand the Animation blueprints more. One thing that I can say is you have to know how to use both Character Creator 2, 3DXChange 7(PIPELINE), and the Unreal Engine 4 itself to make your game a success. Their are plenty of YouTube video’s with tutorials on how to make this possible and I will share one that is brief and right to the point. Below is my current progress with the Unreal Engine 4. I love video games and I’m pretty sure that most of everyone does too. As we know a lot of work goes into these video game creations and they take a lot of time. As I have experienced and I’m pretty sure most of you all have too that most games have glitches in them and if caught and reported are often fixed. Now in terms of creating these games it requires a lot of coding which I’ve talked about in a previous post. But now in days most big companies use game engines such as Unreal Engine 4, Unity, OpenGL, HTML5, etc. Most big companies like Marvel, DC Comics, and Naughty Dogs use the Unreal Engine 4. When you compare the graphics from Unreal Engine 4 to Unity you can see a difference between the too. I’ve been taking a course on how to use the Unreal Engine 4 and noticed they do more of the coding through blueprints that too me are more simply than the coding while using Unity. As you see above the two games were made from different game engines. Batman Arkham Knight has better graphics than Watch Dogs 2. A lot of companies use the Unreal Engine 4 because the graphics are better. Now with the way its going they’re soon to have 4k graphics with some game consoles already offering it. Unreal Engine is more easy and simply to use than Unity and the graphic look a lot better. Below is a layout of how the Blueprints work on Unreal Engine.
