Pages updated using Next Gen Gallery

Just a quick update for all my subscribers I have been in the process of making Brownscomicart more organized and easier to access. So if you check some of my pages like the Art Galleries pages I have a nice slideshow that shows all my art and it gives you the option to select the pictures you want to open instead of having to view or scroll down to see the type of art your looking for. I am currently using the plugin called next gen which I’m to organize my art and make professional art galleries with it. So check it out I mentioned NextGen gallery in a post before and the benefits for using the plugin and I will soon be posting it in my artist tips page. Thank you for Reading and also follow me on all my updated social media tags to the right. I have more coming on the way.

Wild Woman(Portrait)

This is a drawing I did back in 2011 right after I graduated from high school in the year of 2011. I didn’t use no reference I just drew how I was feeling and used a lot of my imagination as this is my own made up character. Her name is Wild Woman and I will also be posting a regular cartoon drawing of her. But as I’ve mentioned before in earlier post we always improve our drawings over the years and sometimes were able to come up with new ideas for our projects. Never throw away your old art work, keep and and always make a photocopy and try to store it in plastic dividers to keep the drawing in tact. Remember the lead starts to go away after a period of time so its very important to take care of your art and to have copies of your art for back up.

Also, your art can be a reminder and can be a good influence for new upcoming young artist or for anyone trying to become an artist today. Sometimes when we first start were like “man I’m never gonna as good as that artist”. But as you see it takes time and a lot of practice. As an artist I’m determined to help others in improving there art skills and offering tips on what to do to become the best artist you can be. One thing I can say and this is very true, always come up with your own style of Art, never try to copy another artist style. There are many reasons why me and other artist say that but to sum it all up you want someone to see how good of an artist you are and that’s what your trying to portray to the world.

As always I will keep you all updated on whats new and coming to BrownsComicArt and if you haven’t already check out some of my other pages as I have updated a lot of them including my art galleries. I’m using a very good plug-in which I will be talking about in a later post. I’d like to thank you all for reading and follow me on all my social media sites to the right for more updates as well as content that I post only on my other social media sites. Thanks for reading and stay tuned for more updates.

The Start of My Business Career

Art has always been my passion and it has always been my hobby. And over the years I’ve gotten better and better with the help of being in art class and doing some research and watching videos on YouTube. I was very young when my mom taught us the basics of how to draw and drawing Runs in my family.

But my career started when with the help of my Uncle who is a successful Entrepreneur and business man help my create my first wordpress blog. I was so thankful because I had no idea on how to create a website and the only way I was learning was from a business class I took in school called NFTE which had us using computer skills like Microsoft PowerPoint. Which was teaching me how to make and design a webpage/Website from sctrach.

Then I learned the basics of using Adobe Photoshop. I started with with Photoshop Elements then I upgraded to the bigger software Photoshop CS6 which the software is beautiful. But I learned to use it in terms of editing photos, doing digital art work, and coloring my own comics that I inked and drew first. So below I have a small gallery showing the work I’ve done. I am working to color all my art and to keep displaying them and I’m about to keep posting some of them hear and on some of my other social media sites. I will also be updating my about me page and will be deleting my contact page and merging it with my about me page. Thank you for reading and for being a subscriber!

Black Panther! Why such a big success?

Black Panther

Black Panther is a black Marvel super hero that has just gotten noticed with his original movie Black Panther. Black Panther first appeared in the movie Captain America Civil War but didn’t get much screen time but was a main character in the movie. I’m not going to go through the hole movie. But it was a great movie!

Not just because this was the first Black Superhero movie of all time but because it was different than a lot of the superhero movies we see today. Like me as an African American I know some of my background and my history and its the same when it comes to Black Panther they explained the background and it gave some life lessons in the movie. Not to mention it was action packed all the way through and had some of the best actors in it. For the box office as of May 22nd sales were at 1.344 billion USD. It made a lot more money than they thought it was going to make but this is something people have been wanting to see. Marvel is definitely heading in the right position right now.

I will be posting which company between Marvel and D.C. are doing better soon. Well, there you have it folks thanks for reading and if you have any thoughts are comments please feel free to right below! Thank you and Stay tuned for upcoming updates!

Frank Cho! One of my favorite Artist!

Frank Cho, as mentioned in the title is one of my favorite comic book artist next to Budd Root. Frank Cho is an Korean-Amercian Comic book artist and writer. He is well known known for his work his own comic series Liberty Meadows. The thing that inspires me about him is that he didn’t just get to the top and become the well known artist that we know easy. It took time and a lot of hard work for him to get to an artist that can charge about $500 or more on a piece of art at a comic con. Also, the thing that brings out a lot about him to me is that he was born and raised in Beltsville, Maryland. He went to school at Prince Georges Community College and was majoring in Nursing. As we know he is now a famous artist but from what I’ve read it was his parents that wanted him to pursue a career in being a Nurse. He is well known for his work in women and to be honest one of my favorite books by him are Apes and Babes. When it comes to Marvel The Almighty Avengers drawn by him really brought the comic book to life. I love comics that have very good art work and where I can just imagine whats going on kind of like in a movie. Below is a picture of the famous artist and of some of his comic books. This is not my work and all credit goes to Frank Cho, and google images. He is one of my biggest inspirations and my twin brother had the honor of meeting him a comic con in Baltimore. It’s hard sometimes to meet some of these artist because they have a tight schedule and as a cartoonist working for companies like Marvel and others they have deadlines they have to make. I will be making a post and a small blog on the work of a cartoonist. Below you can see some of my favorite comics from Frank Cho and any others that you’d like to know just write it in the comments of feel free to email me and let me know! Thanks for reading!
